so my question was, how did josh k manage to both art-direct and appear in this shot simultaneously? and then i remembered that they'd invented photoshop since back in the day when i tried to do shit like this.

Howdy MKF! Interestingly, this photo actually isn't comprised of Photoshop tricks. There's a light being projected onto Josh's face and body and the photo was snapped. It's just regular old school photography without computer wizardry. Sometimes it's good to take things back to their origins. :)
