Meet the Family

I'm heading out the door with my boyfriend, on our way to Wilmington, North Carolina, where we're spending the holiday weekend. I'm looking forward to meeting his family and hanging out in what I hear is a very pretty city. (One Tree Hill is filmed there, as was Dawson's Creek.)

The only thing I'm worried about? The whole family plays golf. We're all set to play nine holes together this weekend.

The only potential problem? Um, I've never played.

Cross your fingers for me. ;)

Otherwise, can't wait to fly the coop for a few days and hang out in NC.

Notes On A Sunday in May

Sometimes I’m not all that sure what to write here anymore. So, perhaps just a quick update on The Joshes:

Josh K. has been busying himself with working as a production assistant at a popular cable channel.

I’m now consulting with an environmental non-profit where I used to work before I got into magazines. And since the magazine world has gone all “ashes, ashes, we all fall down” since then, doing a bit of work uptown at the non-profit seems like a good idea.

I’m still very much in love with the guy I’ve been seeing. The big, happy news is that we’re moving in together this summer.

He’s the one. I’m in love.

It’s good.

And that’s mostly it. Josh and I are weathering the big ol' recession the best we can. I spend a lot of time with my guy and the dog. Right now it’s a rainy Sunday afternoon on the Upper East Side and my guy is putting down new tiles in the kitchen while the dog naps on the couch.

I think I’ll go now, dear friends, and join them.
