"Winter Song" | Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson
Really cute music video and a great little song. Perfect for a January evening snuggled up on the couch. Significant other optional, not required.
Here are five more songs we're loving right now:
one | "Hazy (feat. William Fitzsimmons)" | Rosi Golan | The Drifter and the Gypsy
two | "A Falling Through" | Ray LaMontagne | Gossip in the Grain
three | "Oh, It is Love" | Hellogoodbye | Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs!
four | "Behind Your Eyes" | Jon Foreman | Winter - EP
five | "Sincerely Hope It's You" | Edith Backlund | Death By Honey
'Idol' Chatter: The Season Premiere; Plus, Kelly Clarkson's Back At It
And so now to get completely trash pop culture on you (didn't you feel it coming?) I have to say I kind of dig Kara, the new fourth judge on American Idol. I think she was the fresh air they needed. It's the eighth season, you know? They needed a little Summer's Eve up in there. And I thought she brought that tonight. Very pretty, great voice, and a blockbuster songwriter to boot. We'll see how the rest of the season goes.
Oh, and speaking of Idol? We're liking Kelly Clarkson's new frothy pop single "My Life Would Suck Without You." It's not "Since U Been Gone," but after her last album it's kind of refreshing. This new single is so much more in the direction of what we'd like to see coming from Kelly. Download for a good time.
Goodonya for the Rosi Golan and Ray LaMontagne. Both of those tracks are pretty sweet.

very nice selections Josh. funny how the cold dark winters of NYC are perfect times for musical exploration. can't wait for spring, picnics in central park, and relaxing on the pier. but for now...i guess winter isn't quite so bad.

Great winter song - enjoying my copy from iTunes as I type this (yes, I'm boringly legal when it comes to music...).

The Ray LaMontagne is absolutely stunning. Good, good choice.
