"Whether or not it was related to the brawl that erupted between Isaiah Washington and Patrick Dempsey on the set of Grey's Anatomy earlier this week, in which Washington allegedly referred to T.R. Knight with several derogatory slurs, Knight revealed to People magazine today that he is gay:
'I guess there have been a few questions about my sexuality, and I'd like to quiet any unnecessary rumors that may be out there. While I prefer to keep my personal life private, I hope the fact that I'm gay isn't the most interesting part of me.'"
Maybe Lance Bass has started a new trend?
I just want to know who's going to come out next.

I was substitute teaching at a junior high school when my best friend text messaged this news to me and I totally jumped up and down in excitement and then when students looked at me I was like, "what?" Very cool news.

Well, at least he still has a vibrant career (unlike Lance Bass). And he's cute. Score one for the homos!

I am gay, and I totally agree with T.R. Knight's comment "I hope the fact that I'm gay isn't the most interesting part of me..." I think we spend too much time fixating on who is gay and who is not, that is not the important thing about our lives, I hope. Personally, I don't even consider it news worthy. We spend too much time concentrating on the insignificant details of everybody else's personal lives.

I'm sure the brawl had EVERYTHING to do with is coming out! I mean, it makes Washington's remarks that much MORE damning!

There's something understated about this instance of celebrity coming out. It doesn't seem like such a big deal, there doesn't seem to be as much fanfare, and he did it to shut people up rather than get publicity. Props to Mr. Knight. Wonder if the show will change his character because you know gay men can't play straight; it's just not allowed in Hollywood.
